Strategies To Survive Online With Affiliate Marketing

Filed under: Affiliate Income - Patricia Brucoli @ 9:07 pm

Many people with online businesses think that affiliate marketing is actually a way to get rich quickly without working. These individuals will advertise by putting a couple of banners on their site, and then they can’t understand why they don’t make any sales.

If you decide to start an online business with affiliate programs, the hardest hurdle will be the first few months. When you check your statistics and notice that you are not bringing in a lot of money, you’ll start wondering if it’s all worth it. This is a key point – instead of getting discouraged at this point, you have to redouble your efforts instead! Determination is essential in good times and bad.

If you start getting some sales and stay committed to hard work, the commissions will gradually increase your income. How much money you will make depends on how much work you dedicate to your online business and giving it time to build momentum.

In truth, 90% of affiliate marketers will actually make less than $100 a month. You can’t count on making a full time income unless you put some strategies into action – multiple strategies.

Here are some of them.

1- You need to create a converting website.

2- You could write articles focusing on the best points of the affiliate program and add those articles to your website as another page. Make the pages attractive to the eye and persuasive to the person reading it. Each headline should encourage the customer to read more, even communicate with you. Highlight the special characteristics of what you are offering, this will tell the reader exactly what the page is all about. Concentrate on explaining the importance of your product and how it can make their life easier and more fun. Include enticing subject lines in your articles.

3- For each product or affiliate program you should have a unique web page to promote them. Don’t advertise all of them on the same web page to save money on hosting. It is best to have a site focusing on each product and nothing else

4- Make sure you get targeted traffic to your affiliate business. Just think, if your visitor has no interest in what you are proposing, they will move on and never visit your site again. You should submit your articles in e-zines and forums. You can locate publications that are focusing on your target customers this way.

The thing to remember is that only 1 out of 100 people will probably buy your product or join your affiliate program. This means you can get 10 sales a day if you generate 1,000 targeted hits a day.

5-Multiple streams of income – join at least 5 programs and leverage your income. The concept here is if one is doing well at any given time, perhaps another one will carry the day. Many programs pay small commissions, so if you have multiple programs, when you add the commissions up, it is a better ROI.

6-Do not believe in the ‘magic matrix’ – It is not magic. “We will build your downline for you”. Guess what? If everyone just sits in the matrix and waits for everyone else to build it for them, nobody is doing anything and it is no mystery why they so often implode. “There is no free lunch”. Take an active role in your business, no matter what the promises are.

Put those strategies to work with all your affiliate marketing programs and they can bring you a good source of income, and you’ll survive in this business. Make your goal big paychecks you will be receiving from each of them.
